⚠️ WARNING: JOB SCAMS ALERT ⚠️

If you’re offered a job through an agency, do your own research.
Don’t just rely on the details provided—search for the company on Google independently.

Scam job offers often point to impressive websites, but when you search the company online, you’ll find little to no real presence.
Sometimes the company itself is real, but the contact details are fake. To verify, reach out using the contact info you find directly through Google, not what the agency gives you.

Use Google Maps Street View to check the company’s address. Often, that alone will raise red flags.

🚩 Common signs of scam jobs:

    • Unrealistic salaries (e.g., more than £3,500/month for basic roles)
    • Offers including housing, flights, or other allowances
    • Requests for a deposit or processing fee—after which the scammers disappear

Some scams involve employers recovering costs from you (e.g., inflated rent), disguising the fact that your true salary doesn’t meet visa requirements.
This can lead to serious exploitation—and once discovered, your visa could be cancelled, and the employer could face criminal charges.

We’ve recently seen many people pay large sums for care home jobs that don’t actually pay the legal minimum wage once upfront costs are considered.
These jobs often vanish once you arrive, leaving you with a fake visa and no job.

🚫 DON’T FALL FOR IT. DON’T PAY FOR FAKE JOBS.
PROTECT YOURSELF – DO THE RESEARCH.
